Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the concrete curbing keep grass out of my flower bed?

Concrete curbing has a proven track record of preventing sod from entering your landscape beds. You also do not have weeds growing in between our edging since it is all one continuous piece, nor can the sod grow under it if prepared correctly. The curb is high enough to keep grass from growing through it, and also high enough on the back to retain your mulch or bed covering.

Can I buy individual pieces of the Moroccan Stone?

The Moroccan Stone technology is not individual rocks or sections. They are molded on site and the “pieces” that you see are actually expansion joints in a continuously formed border.

Is the color painted or stained on the curb?

The color is part of the installation process and will not peel or flake off over time. It is normal that you could experience some fading as with any outdoor color application, but we our best to prevent that by sealing the concrete before leaving the job. We do recommend that you regularly re-seal colored concrete to minimize the effects of fading. We recommend resealing the curbing every 12 months. Ask us how we can help.

How much does this landscape curbing cost?

There are many factors that determine how much a project will cost. However, compared to the “do it yourself” blocks that you can purchase and install, our prices are very comparable, you get a better looking product, and it is installed by professionals. On average our customers invest $1250 to $3500 depending on the size of their project and the product they choose.

Will the curbing crack?

We take all precautions to prevent the concrete from cracking, but it is a fact that concrete will crack. We attempt to control and limit the cracking through the installation of expansion joints.
